The capital of the region of Tuscany, Florence is considered the birthplace of the renaissance. The origins of the city dates back to around 59 BC. For the first 100 years power and control of the city kept shifting. From the 14th to the 16th centuries Florence hit it�s peak when achievements and advancements in the arts and sciences.
The Ponte Vecchio is the iconic bridge of Florence. The bridge was rebuilt in 1345 after an earlier bridge was swept away by a flood.
As a photographer, it is my belief that the two essential elements in a photograph are vision and light. Vision pushes the photographer out at different seasons, times and conditions to capture what he wants to convey and light is the primary tool in fulfilling that vision. My main passions in photography are in capturing country landscapes and small towns. As an avid student of history, I also enjoy finding out about the history of the region I am exploring. The best part of photography is being in a wonderful location and heading out very early in the morning or late in the evening when most people are still sleeping or settling in for the night.
